You may be interested to know that in September 2020, Royds Withy King represented a large hotel chain and won a case at Employment Tribunal made by a senior former employee, which was found to have been pursued unreasonably. The outcome of this case was that the Employment Tribunal ordered the former employee to pay the hotel chain £432,000 for its costs. This is believed to be the highest costs ever awarded at Employment Tribunal.
