Westfield Health employees took part in a seven mile walk to raise money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Debra Clarke, Karen Hardy, Ellie and Kathy Town all completed the Chatsworth Walk for the BHF, part of the Active Derbyshire Workplace Challenge.
The team climbed up hills, over stiles and through woodland, taking in views of the Derwent Valley, Swiss Lake and Swiss Cottage and the River Derwent.
The British Heart Foundation is one of three charities, voted for by staff, which Westfield’s Employee Community Group is involved in general fundraising for throughout the year. At the end of the financial year, the total raised will be divided equally between the three charities, which also include NSPCC and Cancer Research.
Kathy Town, Westfield’s Executive Manager – Corporate Development, said: “The rain stayed away and we crossed the finish line at the end to tea, sandwiches and Bakewell tarts – which were very welcome indeed!
“It was a fabulous way to spend a Sunday morning – fresh air, beautiful surroundings, children and dogs taking part as well as adults, and good banter along the way.”
