Almost 50 members of parliament recent accepted a challenge form the British Heart Foundation in the first ever British Heart Foundation ‘tweet-off’ to in aid of showing their support for National Heart Month this February. MPs across the country were invited by the British Heart Foundation to a tweet-off at Westminster so they could show off their support to their followers. Forty nine MPs took up the challenge and came along to the Houses of Parliament to take a picture of themselves Rocking Up In Red. The ‘Rock Up In Red’ campaign has seen people up and down the country wearing red in support of National Heart Month. The politicians which took part in the campaign were then encouraged the British Heart Foundation to tweet their picture, asking their followers to retweet.
Andrew Jones, Harrowgate and Knaresborough MP, was announced as the campaign’s tweet-off winner with 56 retweets. Luciana Berger MP was a close second with 51 retweets, while Andrew Gwynne MP took bronze with 30 retweets.
