International healthcare insurer, ALC, is to become part of US Insurer, IMG. It has been announced that the two companies are to come together to share strengths promoting growth.
A statement from ALC confirms the reasoning behind the merger “the acquisition provides IMG the expertise necessary to further expand in our key markets, and it also provides ALC Health a wider base from which we can develop and still retain our identity and core values.
ALC confirms that under IMG’s ownership, they will strive to continue business as usual, with no expected changes to products, management or staffing in the foreseeable future. This is also confirmed by IMG who have said that they expect that ALC Health will continue to offer its existing products under its own brand.
ALC and IMG have created a guide to answer questions which can be viewed here.
Sarah Jewell MBE, ALC’s CEO said about becoming part of IMG “there was a great deal of synergy and mutual ideology between our two companies. IMG can provide ALC Health a wider base from which it can develop and still retain its identity and core values, and ALC Health can provide IMG the expertise necessary to further expand its reach and presence in the European and Asian markets.”
Philip Wright, IMG’s Managing Director, Europe added “I foresee many great opportunities in our future, and I look forward to welcoming ALC Health’s employees and intermediaries to the IMG family.”
