World´s leading experts on HR technology gathered in Amsterdam on 25-26th of October for the HR Tech Europe 2012 Conference. HR Tech Europe is Europe’s most important event on how software, technology systems and collaborative tools are bringing about surmountable change in the way people and organisations work.
Pinnacle of the conference was the iHR, Europe’s Innovative HR Technology Competition and Award, which brought forward the best, and the latest, cutting edge ideas and applications in human capital management. More than 100 start-up companies all over the world applied and only six companies were chosen to the finals. The finalist were given 5 minutes on stage for pitching their company and product and to convince the tough judging panel that they really offered the best HR innovation this year. The expert judging panel consisted of the world´s best business analysts, investors and tech entrepreneurs.
One of the six finalist was Intunex – a Finnish tech company developing a social business application that presents a new way of sharing and connecting expertise inside organizations.
“We were honored to be one of the iHR 2012 finalists, and to be recognized on the international HR field. All finalists were tough and the judges gave us a hard time. 5 minutes was a bit too short to explain all the potential our product has to offer but it really forced us to crystallize our message. This competition helped us to put ourselves on the world map.”, says Janne Ruohisto, CEO of Intunex.
The winner of the iHR 2012 was a US based company called TalentBin developing a talent search engine for web based recruiting but the competition was tough. All six finalist had the required attitude and ambiguous goals to disturb the HR field.
