ADVO were delighted to be announced as ‘Highly Commended’ for the category of ‘Best Group PMI Intermediary’ at the 2016 Health Insurance Awards, with Gill Mateo, ADVO’s Operations Director, the representative nominee for this award. Achieving this accolade for such a strongly contested category shows the continued recognition for ADVO’s long-standing advisory expertise. ADVO commented “We have firmly established our reputation for a consistent high level of expertise, ensuring the perfect fit for each of our clients’ unique requirements. Being highly commended at this year’s Health Insurance awards is a fantastic way to highlight this”.
Three further members of the ADVO team were nominated at this year’s event. IT Director, Kevin Crew, was confirmed as a finalist for ‘The Intermediary Innovation Award’ (Sponsored by Simplyhealth). Emma Shaw, Head of Personal Healthcare was shortlisted for the category of ‘Best Individual International PMI Intermediary’ (Sponsored by Aetna International). Lastly, Natasha Gunning was named as a finalist for ‘Best Individual Impact by a Newcomer’.
Each of these three additional short-listings demonstrate core areas of emphasis for ADVO. The shortlisting for the ‘Intermediary Innovation Award’ recognises ADVO’s strong emphasis on developing intuitive, mobile technology which provides instant access to key policy information for all users. The ‘Best Individual International PMI Intermediary’ shortlisting demonstrates ADVO’s continued expertise and development into this increasingly vital area of the PMI landscape. The ‘Best Individual Impact by a Newcomer’ shortlisting demonstrates ADVO’s strong commitment to its own employee development, ensuring that both new and existing staff are able to make their mark within the industry and let their strong level of expertise shine through.
The awards took place on Thursday 13th October at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. TV start Stephen Mulhern was the guest host for this year’s event, entertaining an audience of over 850 industry professionals from across the UK.
